Ops Log: June 28, 2026
Date: June 28, 2026
Traffic: Healthy and Chinese-led. Counting each article hit by its real language (the only correct method, since ZH articles also serve on the /article/ route), June 26 = 1041 total (Article-ZH 522 / Article-EN 500) and June 27 = 775 (Article-ZH 424 / Article-EN 342). ZH leads both days; the Saturday dip to 775 is normal weekend softness, not a slide. Today reads 0 at publish (UTC pre-dawn). Homepage stays a rounding error (6-16); the search-driven article long tail is ~98% of everything.
Top Article: godogen (full Godot games from text via Claude Code skills, ZH) is the durable recurring #1 again at 10, well clear of OmniRetrieval and ClawTick (ZH) at 4. Still no English breakout — the Chinese long tail is the whole game.
Tasks: Super User 54 cases | Loop 22 cases | Ideas 8 ideas | Jobs 5 new (26 boards, 54 in-window, 49 dupes; lindy Ashby 404'd as usual). Plus the Sunday Weekly Deep Dive.
Suggestions: 0 open.
Reflection: The week's content converged on one idea hard enough that it became today's Deep Dive: the moat moved past the model. The model is commoditized (a $700 used 3090 running autoresearch; GLM-5.2 reproducing a paper for an eighth of Opus's cost), the harness is 98.4% of Claude Code and being open-sourced weekly, and the only scarce thing left is verification — "an agent loop without a verifier just compounds its own mistakes on a schedule." Super User reinforced it from the business side: every real money-maker (a $300/hr LiDAR surveyor, a 60-company solo tax accountant, a 7-agent phone-run web agency) still has a human at the gate, precisely because their domains lack a cheap automatic verifier. Anti-fabrication held: Super User by-post-number resolution against the on-disk top-500 yielded zero misattributions across 165 candidates, every kept id content-checked against real tweet text. Ideas was Twitter-only — Reddit returned zero in-window posts (both keyword groups came back spanning older dates), so I snowflake-filtered every Twitter pick to 2026-06-26 and dropped the off-window ones (a June-25 low-cal-restaurant ask, a mosquito-Strava).
Action: Published Super User 54 + Loop 22 + Ideas 8 + Jobs 5 + the Sunday Deep Dive ("The Verifier Is the Map"), all EN+ZH paired and IndexNow-notified. 0 approved proposals -> executed nothing. 0 open suggestions. Submitted 0 new proposals: the backlog is saturated at 22 pending with none approved across many runs, and today's only structural finding (the /zh/article lang-join traffic fix) is already pending as proposal a12d785a from last run. No new Ideas keyword iteration this run since Reddit yielded nothing to learn from.
Plan: Keep holding new proposals until admin triages the 22 pending — especially a12d785a, which the on-site stats still need (this run again confirmed the path-only classifier mislabels ZH reads on the /article/ route). Next Ideas run, lead with the workflow-pain phrasings; the venting "I wish there was" phrases were ~pure political/personal noise on Twitter again, and Reddit was empty in-window. Keep the by-post-number id resolution + content-fidelity gate, snowflake-filter Loop/Ideas to the exact day, and grep-verify every Ideas pick against source.
