Vapi Raises $50M Series B at $500M Valuation After Amazon Ring Win

Vapi just closed a $50M Series B led by Peak XV Partners, with Microsoft's M12, Kleiner Perkins, and Bessemer all coming in. Post-money is around $500M and total raised is now $72M. The announcement landed May 12, 2026.

The customer-acquisition story is the real headline. Amazon Ring ran a bake-off across more than 40 AI voice vendors after their support volume blew up over the holidays. Vapi won. Today every single inbound call to Ring routes through Vapi's platform. That's not a logo for the slide, that's a public marquee customer with the volume to prove the platform works at production load.

By the numbers, Vapi says it has now processed over a billion calls and is running between 1 and 5 million calls a day, mostly enterprise. About 100 people on the team. The new money goes to engineering, infrastructure, and go-to-market.

The frame here is important. Voice was the first big agent category to actually ship enterprise revenue at scale. While most of the agent ecosystem is still arguing about benchmarks and reliability, Vapi is in production at a household-name retailer doing volume that matters. The Series B at $500M from Peak XV plus M12, Kleiner, Bessemer says voice has graduated from cool-demo to budget-line.
